The template for this website suggested that this page should give you information about my literary works, my writing style and my personal insights. It even provided me with some helpful phrases to get me started. Whatever, I retired from a lifelong teaching career and decided I wanted to write a book, which then turned into seven books and counting.

My books are contemporary fiction and don’t easily fit into a genre. I try to write the sort of stories I would want to read, and to have relatable characters along with subjects that affect many of us, but aren’t often written about in a fictional context.

This makes it sound very thoughtful and considered, whereas, in reality, I’ve just found a love of the joy of writing and telling stories. My blog (steevbeed.wordpress.com) tends to be a bit less structured. Sometimes I write about what I’m working on, and other times it’s just whatever is on my mind in the moment.
